Hey RA!
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
Today's my day off, so I'm checking this bulletin
board often in between errands and stuff. Gotta
buy the cats some fresh food!
Well, I guess you don't like my "open house"
idea. That's cool - I'll keep brainstorming some
more and get back with you when I think up
something more appropriate and to your liking.
You're "the Man" as they say! It's your band!
Since your next album has a prison theme to it,
how about a Deadbolt concert on Alcatraz? I have
a friend who works for the Parks dept. over there
in SF and can probably work out the logistics for
us. We'd probably need a permit, though. I can
see you guys set up in the prison yard playing
stuff like "Prison Shank" "Ms. Valdez!" And we
could build a mock-up of an electric chair and
have it hooked up to your mixing board or guitar
amps, so ever time you hit a certain chord sparks
would fly from under the skull cap on the chair.
We could even have a volunteer from the audience
sit in it (we'd set it up so it was totally
safe), and pretend to twitch and stuff! Heck, I
would even volunteer!
By the way, I'm kind of a "part-time"drummer, so
to speak. I play a bit on a friend's drum set,
and I'm learning alot. My favorite drummer is
Bill Bruford from "that band" (I won't name them
so as not to start all THAT again!) Anyway, what
do you suppose are the chance of me sitting in on
the drums for one song? It would mean alot, and
I promise not to screw it up.
Well, I gotta boogie out of here and run those
errands. I'll keep think up neat stuff for
Deadbolt to do - just let me know when you want
to brainstorm some more.
Still a Fan
